Two brothers are engaged in a competition to win the heart of a princess. She will
marry the man who is best with his words. One brother memorises the Latin dictionary, the other knows all laws of the country. The third brother Jack the Dullard who is not smart, wants to go to the castle too, they let him come, riding a goat.
On the way Jack finds a dead crow, a wooden shoe and some mud. His brothers simply laugh at him. In front of the princess, both of the smart brothers get nervous and cannot speak and she sends them away. Jack, however, asks why the castle is so hot inside. The princess says they are cooking chicken and Jack asks if they can cook his crow. The princess laughs and Jack the Dullard wins the princess.
